This one went to market

As eager as he is to learn more about his inheritance, Orthos agrees to wait a day to give his companions sufficient time to prepare for the journey ahead. Mercurio spends most of it sleeping off the night before, whereas Salbadore continues to pore over Flavius' Kreisbuch in solitude while considering which operations he should commit to memory.

Laurie is in search of new clothes and, hoping to cheer Varel up, insists that the young druidess accompany her, if only to give her opinion. Orthos decides that his purse could endure some lightening as well and volunteers to escort them to the various markets and bazaars about the city. Nibben tags along as too, excited to see just how much his new bag will hold.

Laurie is apparently shopping for clothes, and bargains with several merchants to pick up traveling clothes. She also drags Varel along with her, and insists she gets two sets of clothes for her as well.

Orthos and Salbadore demonstrate their magnanimity by arranging for transportation to Dale-Town. "Orthos bargained them straight into the ground," Salbadore reports with a cheery little jab in the air. "The carriage team will meet us shortly after sunrise at the steps of the College's Main Hall."

His excitement at the prospect of more traveling does nothing to alter the slightly imperious tone that Salbadore has assumed ever since returning to full health. "It's more than seventy leagues on the map, so everyone be ready on time. Riding in the morning! It'll be a jolly time for a good pipe and some air."
